No, there are currently no plans to support PSVR2.
WHAT RACING WHEELS ARE SUPPORTED?
Our sim supports any device that works with the RawInput API, these will be automatically detected and should work right out of the box or may need only for button/axes mappings to be done. We chose RawInput because it provides the best connection between our game's physics engine and your device for a more realistic feel.
Extra features like displays and LEDs may need special software integration via SDK. This is handled on a per-device or manufacturer basis and/or using third-party tools like SimHub.
For devices that don't support RawInput, you'll need a custom XML file to switch to the DirectInput API, this file will need to include the product's identifiers so the game can detect it and let you map the controls.
We have created a dedicated space in our official Discord server where users can discuss their custom files, and we'll also provide a template to help you make your own.
We will also keep updating our database with more devices as they become available and known to us, so we can offer you the best experience possible with PMR.
WHAT CONTROLLERS DOES PROJECT MOTOR RACING SUPPORT ON PC?
All official native console controllers will be supported on PC.
IS UDP TELEMETRY DATA AVAILABLE FOR DASHBOARDS, HAPTIC FEEDBACK, AND OTHER 3RD PARTY APPS?
PMR does have UDP telemetry. This feature can be enabled via Settings > Preferences.
MODS AND THE USER GENERATED CONTENT PORTAL
ARE MODS AVAILABLE ON ALL PLATFORMS?
Yes. Our User Generated Content portal (UGC) is accessible for players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
HOW DOES THE USER GENERATED CONTENT PORTAL (UGC) WORK?
We are committed to supporting modifications (mods) across all platforms. However, similar to Farming Simulator, all mods will be subject to a formal testing and approval process prior to release. This requirement applies equally to console platforms, where we encounter the same technical and policy limitations.
ARE SCRIPT-BASED MODS ALLOWED?
No Script-Based Mods allowed. Due to platform restrictions, script-based mods—which enable advanced or complex functionality—are not permitted on consoles.
WHAT KIND OF RESTRICTIONS ARE IN PLACE?
To ensure system stability and maintain compliance with their guidelines, platform holders enforce strict security and content policies regarding user-generated content. These policies limit the types of mods that can be made available on consoles.
IS THERE A TESTING AND APPROVAL PROCESS?
Every mod must successfully pass a review conducted by Quality Assurance and meet the certification standards established by console manufacturers before it can be released.
DLC
WILL THERE BE MORE DLC PACKS AFTER LAUNCH?
Yes. We have four DLC packs and one Expansion Pack planned for release within the first year after launch.
GAMEPLAY AND ONLINE
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES TO ACCESS ONLINE MODES?
Once you have purchased Project Motor Racing, and provided you have an internet connection, you can access the various online modes free of charge. Console users, however, will still need to purchase the required and respective PlayStation Plus and/or Xbox Game Pass subscription(s) in order to access these features.
IS THERE A WAY OF REPORTING MISCONDUCT OR POOR RACE ETIQUETTE?
Yes, at the end of every ranked race a QR code is displayed on your screen that you can scan to submit an official report. Please fill out the short form with as many details as possible, including video or replay files if necessary.
DOES PROJECT MOTOR RACING ALLOW ROLLING STARTS FOR RACES?
All race starts in Project Motor Racing are standing starts. We will, however, be offering IMSA-style rolling starts post-release.
IS CROSS-PLAY MULTIPLAYER SUPPORTED?
Yes, cross-play is supported in Project Motor Racing and physics parity across platforms is one of the driving features of the sim.
WHAT FEATURES EXIST FOR RACING LEAGUES?
